Yes, it’s that time of year where we all need to take a moment to reflect on what is important to us, what we’re thankful for, and what holds the most meaning to us. If we take away the turkey and the food and the gifts and the tree and the lights and whatnot, what’s left is Family and Friends. So grab the people around you close, and let them know how special they are to you, and how appreciative you are of them. Material things come and go, but meaningful relationships last a lifetime!!

Commonly known as Stepping Down, though I (among other people) prefer to think of it as Stepping Aside; unless you plan on fading quietly into the background, just because your Title Year is over doesn’t mean the Community Service is. As many people will say, this is when the real work begins! And yes, there is such a thing as Titleholder Withdrawal—that bundle of emotions where you’re thrilled it’s over, you can’t believe it’s over, you have to adjust to the fact that the spotlight is no longer on you, you’re ecstatic that the spotlight is no longer on you… you get the idea.
