Schools, governments, businesses and pretty much all activities have been greatly disrupted by the recent massive snowfalls all along the Mid-Atlantic region. Equality Maryland's Lobby Day, previously scheduled for Monday, February 8th, has already been rescheduled for Monday, February 22nd. So, if you haven't already registered, or could not attend the original date, there is still time to register and attend Lobby Day in Annapolis.
Join other constituents and be sure our voices are heard by Maryland lawmakers. Maryland is one of the few states left that is very close to seeing the end of marriage discrimination in the near future.
According to the Equality Maryland website the Lobby Day 2010 gathering and rally will take place at Lawyer's Mall, which is directly in front of the State House, located at 100 State Circle in Annapolis. The legislative meetings will occur in state office buildings located immediately adjacent to Laywer's Mall.
The event will address marriage vs. civil unions, a constitutional amendment, and will also cover transgender discrimination.
In addition to attending Lobby Day and showing your support, be sure to write to your legislators to push for their support for Equality Maryland's legislative agenda. While scheduling and logistics for that day are still being re-worked and hammered out be sure to keep up to date at www.EqualityMaryland.org.
