Love features the premiere of a new men’s chorus transcription of Brahm’s Liebeslieder Waltzes, by GMCW Baritone Robert T. Boaz.
Featuring performances by the full chorus, in addition to the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, select chamber ensemble Rock Creek Singers, the program overflows with stylish love songs for a perfectly romantic Cupid’s Holiday.
“We are proud and honored to be premiering the first men’s chorus of the Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes- opus 52,” says Jeff Burhman, GMCW artistic director. “These romantic love poems spring off the page into the voices with grace and ease and are once approachable and brilliant.”
Rock Creek Singers are a select, spirited chamber ensemble of the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC that performs a growing repertoire of a cappella and accompanied classical and contemporary music for audiences throughout the national capital region.
