HUNTER was on the Prowl to let you know about the entertainment that Baltimore and beyond has had for you!

Friday, October 7 was a double dose night. Down in South Baltimore at The Rowan Tree, Miss Shawnna Alexander hosted part two of her benefit show for The Allen Center. Shawnna had many entertaining performers such as Mr. & Miss Rowan Tree 2012, Miss Eve D’Mure, Marketta Buffet, Blu Alexander, Victoria Blair, and Miss Youth Princess 2011 Krystal Nova. Another great benefit for The Allen Center by Shawnna Alexander and The Rowan Tree!

On Friday, September 23, at the Hippo was the Miss Central Maryland 2012 contest. There were four contestants and a lot of entertainment. By the end of the night Miss Central Maryland 2011, Miss D’Meaner gave a fantastic final give up number. All contestants did an amazing job.  1st Alternate is Miss Lulu Ladiva and your new Miss Central Maryland 2012 is Miss Eva Couture!

As you all know I try to go to all events, but it’s not easy. PW’s Bar out in Laurel is a fun bar and has much to offer. There are drag shows every Friday night, a Bingo night and many other specials throughout the week and weekend. The bartenders are very friendly and will take care of most of your needs. PW’s also serves food from breakfast to all types of bar food. I have eaten there myself and the food is very good.

HUNTER on the Prowl is here to let you know of the entertainment that Baltimore and beyond has for you! Sorry for being away for so long, but I am back!

Starting with August so far, on August 3, Miss Shawnna Alexander hosted a Benefit Show and guest “DRAG” bartenders for The Allen Center over at The Rowan Tree. Several of your drag bartenders were Markette Buffet, Victoria Blair, Anastacia Amor, and even Miss Shawnna stepped behind the bar. There was also a small drag show which included guest bartenders Aunye Diamond, E. J. Bohrer, and Carl “The Cowboy.” The Rowan Tree has been doing these benefits for The Allen Center on the first Wednesday of every month. Keep an eye on Shawnna Alexander’s Facebook page for updates on the next fundraiser! Come out and support a good cause because someday you might need a place like The Allen Center in your later years!

Here for your entertainment, I prowled the streets of Baltimore & beyond to see what I could find for you!

On Friday March 18, I wondered out to PW’s Sports Bar & Grill in Laurel for a drag show to benefit Mr. Frankie Jay (Mr. DE  International 2011) to compete in Iowa in April. Performers included Miss Sasha Chalet, Miss Ada Buffet, and Miss Shawnna  Alexander. It was a night of entertainment and fun for all!

On Sunday April 10, Miss Victoria Blair had a benefit show at Mixer’s on BelAir Rd. to help raise money to continue her efforts to  run for Miss Gay MD America 2011! Miss Blair gathered many entertainers to help her such as and not limited to Miss Marketta  Minett, Miss Anita Minett, Miss Kelly Koxx, Miss Anastacia (Miss Mixers 2010), Miss Cha’nel Van Cartier Couture, Miss Shateesah  Alexander, and of course Miss Victoria Blair. MC for the evening was Miss Karmella and DJ Joe Pipkin spun the music for the evening.  As always the bar was packed and everyone was entertained.

I know Baltimore Pride 2011 is over but I would like to let you all know a few things you may not know. Sunday June 19 was the Festival at Druid Hill Park. The drag stage started at noonish and ended around 5:00 p.m. The MC’s for the day were Tia Chambers and Shawnna Alexander. There were many performers including our special guest, Mystique Summers from RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2. The day went off without a hitch. About the half way point, Mr. Rik Newton-Treadway took the microphone to make a very special announcement: From this date forward the drag stage will be named “The Lady Lisa Drag Stage.” With that he asked for Lady Lisa’s Mother, Ms. Verna Gentry, to say a few words. She spoke of how proud she was of what we had done in the memory of her daughter. Please keep a lookout for fundraisers for the Lady Lisa Drag Stage for 2012 by Ada Buffet and friends.

Sorry I’ve been away but I am back and here we go on a ride of entertainment! A new venue opened up in April: The Backdoor Lounge at the Gold Club, 5801 Pulaski Hwy, Baltimore’s only gay male revue! Plenty of parking, food, drink specials, and giveaways. Open Thursdays. Enjoy yourselves boys!

I hope everyone has been healthy and have not gotten this 24-hour stomach bug that got me. Thankfully, I am back to my old self and doing great! But as a result, I missed the Miss Gay Baltimore 2011 contest at Club Hippo on February 11. I understand the contest was amazing and that Miss Cha’nel Van Cartier Couture was crowned Miss Gay Baltimore 2011, with Miss Sasha Chalet as 1st alternate!

I know it’s been awhile since my loyal readers and supporters have heard from me, but I have been busy with my ongoing job of babysitting my grandson. I would like to wish all of you a belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
