The Royal Dutch Golf Federation (NGF) is pleased to announce today that Anne Van Dam will appear at the Big Green Egg Open. Van Damme caught the eye of the golf world with her impressive swing and her role in the legendary Solheim Cup winning European team in 2019. She was also the first Dutch woman to compete in the Olympics and has five victories on the Ladies European Tour. . Exciting fight for the title

Alongside Anne, Swedish golfer Anna Nordqvist (photo below), last year’s winner, will defend her title at Hilversumsch Golf Club. Nordqvist is currently ranked No. 37 in the world and her return will undoubtedly spark an exciting title fight. Nordqvist can’t wait: “As the defending champion, I’m delighted to be back at the Big Green Egg Open. The Netherlands is a beautiful country for golf and it’s great to have the Solheim Cup here in 2026. I look forward to putting up the competition and putting up an exciting title fight.”

20% more prize money

The Big Green Egg Open is one of 37 tournaments in the Women’s European Calendar (LET) and is played over three days, with a cut-off after two rounds. In this third edition, the prize money has been increased by 20 percent from €250,000 to €300,000, of which €45,000 goes to the winner. “We have great ambitions for this tournament,” says Gordon Machelsen, Director of Sales and Events for NGF. “We want it to be as big as the KLM Open, the men’s event, within five years. The fact that the Netherlands was chosen to host the Solheim Cup is testament to the reputation of Dutch golf and the organizational capabilities of the NGF.
