Archaeologists discover 7,000-year-old road under the bottom of the Adriatic Sea | Sciences

Another special discovery has now been made: archaeologists have unearthed a road built seven thousand years ago. The road, like the rest of the island, has been able to survive for thousands of years thanks to the favorable conditions of the Adriatic Sea.

Scientists believe the road dates back to the Neolithic Age, also known as the Early Stone Age. The island may have been built by people from the Hvar culture, who inhabited Korcula at that time.

It may not stop at these results. Scientists have found an underwater settlement on the other side of Korcula that is very similar to Solin. Structures and other objects from the Stone Age can also be found there.
