Hendrick Edu Craft – What will Hendrik Ido Ambacht look like in the future? How do we organize our living environment, the space around us? How do we deal with sometimes conflicting interests? The answers to these questions come in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht’s ecological vision, the strategic vision of the physical environment of life.

Starting Friday, February 5th, the municipality will be happy to discuss this during Environmental Vision Week With residents, social organizations and partners. Other engagement moments will follow in April and May. In December, the city council adopts an environmental vision.

Environmental Vision Week

Friday February 5th to Saturday February 13th is Environmental Vision Week. All information is available www.hi-ambacht.nl/omgevingsvisie.

• Neighborhood online
  During this week, residents and other stakeholders can use the online sharing platform Wijkprikker to let us know what they are proud of when they think of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and what they find important to live and live in our municipality. They can also choose a theme on a digital map, pinch a spot on the map and write about the opportunity or challenge they see there.

• I am looking for creativity!
  Coloring and drawing competition
  There is a coloring and drawing competition for children. Children up to 8 years old can color in the coloring page of well-known craft sites. Older children can draw how they see the future of crafts. Coloring and drawing pictures can be downloaded from www.hi-ambacht.nl/omgevingsvisie. You can deliver the mailbox at the town hall front door until March 1, or digitally via [email protected]
  Beautiful craft photography
  Anyone who wants to contribute creatively can participate in the photo contest on social media. Post self-made pictures of favorite places in the municipality with the hashtag #mooiAmbacht #omdichtvisieHIA and who knows, your photo will be included in Environmental Vision!

Environmental Law and Vision
The Environmental Law will be implemented in the Netherlands from January 1, 2022. In this new law, 26 laws have been compiled including 400 regulations for spatial development, housing, mobility, environment, nature, water and health. The municipality of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht has started preparations for the introduction of the environmental law. Environmental vision is one of the “tools” of the new environmental law. Starting in 2022, the Environmental Vision will serve as an evaluation framework for new plans, developments, initiatives, and issues related to outer space.
