A Miss Australia Universe finalist has tragically passed away. Sienna Weir (23) tragically died after falling from her horse on April 2. Yesterday the painful decision was made to take her off the ventilator.
The Sydney model was rushed to hospital in critical condition a month ago. Despite the intensive treatment required, she had now lost the battle.
Weir is one of the final 27 candidates to represent Australia at the Miss Universe pageant in 2022. In the tournament itself, he eventually made it to the top-15.
Weir graduated with degrees in English literature and psychology. He plans to move to London in the next few years. This allowed him to spend more time with his family, but also expanded his professional network.
In an interview with Gold Coast Magazine, Weir said her passion for horse riding set her apart from other Miss Universe contestants. “My family doesn’t understand where that love comes from, but I’ve been doing it since I was three. I now train two to three times a week and compete in competitions once in two weeks.
Sympathies poured in on social media. “Heaven has received a most beautiful angel. I’m going to miss everything about you, Sienna. i love you I’m so glad to have known you, thank you for everything,” wrote one of her best friends.
Her sudden passing left a void for all who knew her. However, she will never be forgotten. Sienna, you are one of the sweetest people to ever walk the planet. You know better than anyone how to brighten up a room. Wherever you are, I hope you can be the angel we all know so well,” commented photographer Chris Dwyer.
