Austrian police arrest two Germans with 14 human skulls in their trunk | outside

Austrian police arrested two Germans carrying 14 human skulls. Police came across the skulls during an accidental traffic check. They were in the trunk.

The skulls were stolen at about 3pm on Friday afternoon during a visit to a burial house, where bones which could not be placed in the cemetery due to lack of space, are stored in the village of Mulbling. This happened during a freely accessible memorial meeting.

Disturb the rest of the dead

Police arrested the 43-year-old driver and his 35-year-old passenger on Friday night. The men claim that their fascination with burials led them to steal the remains. The men from Bavaria reported that they had never stolen a skull before.

The skulls were confiscated. Police said the two men face trial for disturbing the peace of the dead.
