The Chinese satellite company Spacety, which was added to a commercial blacklist by the United States at the end of January, provided aerial photos to the Russian paramilitary group Wagner. This was stated by a Biden administration official, writing for Reuters and Sky News.
Senior US diplomat Daniel Kreitenbrink made the remarks during a congressional hearing on Tuesday.
Spacety is a space company that specializes in small satellites and satellite-based services. The company is based in Beijing, but has its international headquarters in Luxembourg.
Earlier, the company was already added to the US trading blacklist. Spacety then responded by saying that it adheres to international sanctions against Russia and has no ties to the country.
