Claudia de Brigg herself has not been subjected to any misconduct in DWDD – Wel.nl

Claudia de Brigg herself did not have to deal with trespassing behavior at De Wereld Draait Door (DWDD). This is what the comedian said at her New Year’s Eve convention.

De Breij, former DWDD presenter and often guest on the talk show, spoke for the first time in her performance of the much-discussed Volkskrant article about the situation behind the scenes of the talk show. Dozens of former employees of the newspaper spoke out last month about “cross-border behaviour” by presenter Matthijs van Nieuwkirk, among others.

At her convention, the comedian engaged in a mock phone conversation with a talk show host who invited her to come over and discuss the topic. The man asked her if she had also experienced offending behavior in DWDD. “No, I don’t,” replied de Briggs. “But I was different in that hierarchy.”

On the New Year’s Eve show, the comedian also mentioned other examples of celebrities who made the news last year for misconduct, such as Lil Klein and Glennis Grace, among others. “2022 was the year of crossing borders. I don’t know much about Chinese astrology, but it certainly wasn’t de Mol’s year,” she said, referring to John, Linda and Johnny de Mol.

The comedian previously said she would respond to the story for the first time at her convention on New Year’s Eve. “Many people, or well, many other content-lacking TV shows and agencies, have been asking me to respond to the revelations about DWDD,” de Brigg wrote on Instagram. “What do I have to say about that? That doesn’t lend itself to sonic bite. I need a little more space for that. I have that space for my New Years Eve conference, so that’s fine! I definitely have something to say about this, but please on my stage.”

Between 2006 and 2008, De Breij was responsible for presenting DWDD Mondays. In the years that followed, she regularly joined the BNNVARA program as a guest, which ended in 2020.
