Companies donate 20 portable oxygen machines to the ministry

20 oxygen concentrators were received at the State Department on Monday. This is amazing Two Surinamese companies have donated the oxygen machines.

On behalf of the Ministry of Health, Minister Albert Ramdin received the gesture. “Covid sponsorship takes a lot of our attention, so we are delighted to have a private company contribute,” Ramdin said. K&K Heritage Group and Innodata Suriname each offer 10 machines for healthcare.

“We work with and for people,” says K&K Heritage Group Director Chivaro Gajadien, referring to his contribution to helping care for Covid. The DeVilbiss Oxygen Machine is portable and can be easily used anywhere else. They are electronically controlled and deliver 5 liters per minute of oxygen.

According to Ramdin, the Ministry of Health will determine the distribution itself. “These are machines that have been used in Suriname before and have proven useful. For individual care in various alternative locations, but also inland and regions, DeVilbiss Healthcare oxygen machines will come in handy,” Ramdin said.
