Contemporary art treasury gives way to adventure | culture

Den Bosch – Den Bosch is a richer gallery. Cabinet for Contemporary Art opens its doors on April 30th. The initiator is Martin Kettlers (54) who is active as an artist and photographer.

Ketelaars held an extensive exhibition in his house at 21 Sumatrastraat. Focuses on contemporary artists who dare to experiment with different mediums – from photography to sculpture. For many artists, it is still difficult to get a solo exhibition. “I want to give them the opportunity to furnish an entire space,” explains Ketelaars.

He graduated from the Amsterdam Academy of Photography, and from there created a network of artists. I present an exhibition every month. Local artists but also from Randstad. My first exhibition is a great expedition.”

The scoop for Jasmijn Duterloo

The inaugural exhibition is by mixed media artist Jasmine Duterlo. “The art of photography is very personal. The loss of her mother was the reason for a private business. The images were buried in the ground and later dug up. She composed a new work from the remains of faded photographs. Good job jealously. ”

Opening is Saturday, April 30th at 3.30pm, then runs through May 29th on Saturday and Sunday (12am-6pm).
