Sino-Australian relations hit a low point in 2020, but the two countries have been putting the pieces back together for months.
Why is this important?
In East Asia, China and the United States are in a frenzy of superpower politics. Both states are trying to establish their own sphere of influence in the region. Australia, a regional superpower, has a key role to play in whatever course it takes.In the message: Since the new government led by Prime Minister Antony Albanese came to power in May 2022, he has launched a diplomatic charm offensive towards China. The Albanian wanted to “confirm relations between the two countries”.
