Novak Djokovic dropped from first to third in the world rankings. Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz leads the tennis rankings again and Daniil Medvedev, winner of Sunday’s tournament in Rome, is the new No. 2.
Russia’s Medvedev won the Masters tournament in Rome on Sunday, defeating Denmark’s Holger Rohn in the final. Ron is now sixth, his highest rating ever. On the way to the final, Ron was too strong for Djokovic, who won the tournament in the Italian capital last year.
Botic van de Zandschulp remained in thirtieth place, while Greece’s Tallon track lost three places. The Greek path is now 39.
In the women’s top ten, Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan gained some ground. She rose from sixth to fourth after winning the WTA Championships in Rome. France’s Caroline Garcia and Coco Gauff of the United States passed. The Polish Iga Swiatek No. 1 remained ahead of Arina Sabalenka from Belarus and the American Jessica Pegula.
Arantxa Roos is the 113th best Dutchman. The 32-year-old Russian will take part in the qualifying tournament for Roland Garros this week. The main tournament starts on Sunday.
