good morning! Italy is voting today to choose a new parliament. And there is a lot of sport: Holland and Belgium play against each other in the Nations League and Dutch volleyball players play in the Arnhem World Cup.

- Two months after the fall of the Draghi government, today Italy elects a new parliament. There is a good chance that the country will soon have a right-wing government headed by the Prime Minister: Giorgia Meloni of Fratelli d’Italia. Italians vote for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. You can vote until 11 pm.
- The Netherlands will play against Belgium tonight in the Nations League. The last time, orange won 4-1. The match will take place in Amsterdam and start at 8.45 pm. The duel can be continued directly in the NOS.
- Dutch volleyball players play the Group B match against Cameroon in their country’s World Cup in Gelredome in Arnhem. Other competitors in the group include Puerto Rico, Belgium and Italy. The match starts at 4pm and can be followed on NOS.nl, the NOS app and on NPO 3.

Australian police have arrested cyclist Matthew van der Poel on the eve of the road race at the World Cycling Championships. The Dutchman is said to have attacked two children at his hotel in Sydney, after the two made a huge noise disturbance.
Van der Poel spent a late night in the cell, before being released on bail at 4 am. He is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
The Dutchman had already started a road race, but got off on the first pass in Wollongong. Shortly before the start, he gave an interview in which he denied attacking girls.
