“When I first heard ‘Acting Poop’ I had to laugh a lot. My friends and I think that name is really funny.” “But that’s not something I get attached to. I know my nickname is Countess and I’m kind of influential because I have a lot of followers on Instagram, but I really don’t see myself that way at all. I’m just Eloise.”
When the Countess started Instagram in 2018, she never expected her account to grow this big. “I never started it because I wanted to have a lot of followers, I don’t think it matters at all. I never thought it would grow like that and I’m not interested in the number of followers. It’s not like I’m thinking, how can I get more followers? For me, it’s still a platform where I share things with my friends.”
But with more followers comes greater responsibility, Eloise knows. “I think it is especially important for young girls to show a real and honest image. I am really myself and I want to show that everyone should be like that.”
The great-granddaughter of Princess Beatrix shares many photos of her life, but there is a limit to what she can post. “For example, I don’t shoot or shoot special family events or inside my parents’ house. I try to be as open as possible, but because of my role and my family, I can’t share 100 percent of my life.”
Within what can be shared, Eloise is given complete freedom from her parents. “Let me go and trust that I know the limit. The longer I do it, the better I will understand it.”
