The 24-year-old rider is happy with his new contract: “I am very happy to be staying with this team. I would like to thank Patrick (Lefevere, Team Manager, Editor), the staff and sponsors for their fantastic support. I am looking forward to the next two years to start winning races with my teammates, Step by Step “.
Jacobsen had a terrible clash during the Tour of Poland about a year ago. He returned in April after months of recovery. Since then, Jacobsen has completed the Turkey Tour, Algarve Tour, Critrium de Dauphiny and the Dutch Championship.
Patrick Lefever says of Jacobsen: “When you see where Fabio came from, it’s just a miracle. Fabio has a lot of talent, skills and ambition, and we will continue to work together towards the next races. He’s been through a lot, but the team has been behind him and that will never change. He has defeated the greatest sprinters. In the world in the past, we are confident that one day he will be able to raise his hands again.”
