Sweet place
[swiet-spot] • EnglishMeaning in golf parlance: Center of the clubface. In other words: the best place you should hit the ball on your fourteen clubs. You must aim well, of course.
Holiday!
Vacations are the best summer pastime, and how would we get through those summer months without golf? No! Italian Tour player Francesco Laporta doesn’t want to think about a weekend without golf. Such a swimming pool is ideal for practicing your weak points regularly.
You don’t need that much: a few tools and a little imagination.
Floating green always works well in the pond.
But this stroke requires a little more skill…
girl friend
You can certainly try to get your girlfriend to play golf while on vacation. But the question is whether it is wise to ‘panna’ the driving range. Warning: This may lead to a short stay on the ‘LUV Tour’.
Golf in America
Have you ever played with an American in America (on vacation)? Golf is experienced a bit differently than the average golf course in the Netherlands or Europe. Conor Moore, readers of this column will know him from previous contributions, summed it up in three minutes on Independence Day…

So this American knows how to handle this regulatory dilemma.
Golf & Guinness
I’m talking about vacation. Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler took time off to play some courses in Ireland last week. Just for fun. And then with a pint of Guinness…
Spieth enjoyed the local atmosphere. At Lahinch even a goat ran unhindered on its back.

Tiger Woods
The other goat mentioned in the tweet arrived in Ireland this week for a small pro-am at the track where the Ryder Cup will be played in a few years, Adare Manor. Giving us a snapshot of the week’s moment…

The Americans are gearing up for the 150th edition of The Open in less than two weeks in St. Andrews, Scotland, in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
From tennis to golf
Of course, we’re keeping an eye on Wimbledon this week and cheering for our sweetspot friend Rafael Nadal. We don’t need to explain anymore that the Spaniard is a great, but really great ambassador for golf. As for tennis, Rafa always spins it, changing the topic of conversation to golf. Last week, Nadal again lamented Tiger’s underplaying. It has also changed his life as a fan.

Carlos Sainz
Last week we had a motorcycle racer with a swing and this week we focus on Carlos Sainz who won his first Formula 1 Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday. Driver with driver, it’s pretty cool.
First of all @F1 success

Now of course we have to wait for Max Verstappen. Who will take our racing hero to the golf course?
