ICombined with ambitious European climate goals, promoting open space was high on the agenda. And this is precisely our mission. After all, for the Flemish Land Agency (VLM), an open space that is flexible and full of life is the answer to challenges like urbanization and climate change. Climate-resistant landscapes and a healthy environment are the goals we work on every day.

Because of the conditions, in 2020 we all worked differently than before, including the Flemish Land Agency. After all, most of our peers worked from home most of the year. This has been a challenge for us, whether on a personal, collective or organizational level. So Agility was essential in 2020.

We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that site work is running as closely as possible and in a safe manner. We have pulled out all stations to ensure our services and continue to operate as much as possible. As a result, we also achieved good results in 2020 that we can be proud of as an organization.
