Jane Van Loon is Program Director for Development Power at OCW | news item

The Energy Development Program is funded by the National Growth Fund. Over the next 10 years, a broad coalition of education and science parties will use the money from the fund to make large-scale investments in teaching capacity and knowledge infrastructure for education.

Since October 2022, Jan Van Loon has been the Director of Supply in the Energy Development Program Office of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science. She started in 2016 as the Head of Department and Deputy Director of Knowledge in the Knowledge Directorate of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Jane previously held various positions at the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) from 1997 to 2016.

Jane studied human nutrition at the Agricultural University in Wageningen. Then, she worked as an assistant professor of epidemiology at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Maastricht University. In 1997, Jane received her PhD on the subject of Socioeconomic Health Differences.

Jane: “I started last year with great pleasure as Distribution Manager in the Office of Energy Development Program and since then I have become much more enthusiastic about the goals of the program and the way it works. So I am very happy that I can continue this work as Program Manager. This appointment to the position of ABD came about through the general procedure for positions within the General Administrative Service. The designation and selection for this designation has been made by the DGABD and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
