Lego coffee table filled with Efteling icons that make the internet drool: “It’s a work of art”

Epic, very daring and great to watch. On the social news site Reddit, it rains my compliments on the creative building skills of Nick (40) and his wife Linda (35). There’s no fancy aquarium or terrarium in a Limburg husband’s living room: they recreate their favorite Efteling attractions using Lego in their existing coffee table. “This is the coolest coffee table I have ever seen!”

One look at creating a building club with the named name Beer and Lego is enough to realize that we’re dealing here with seasoned brickworkers. We started twelve years ago with the three of us and now we are four. Every Wednesday evening we sit together, enjoy specialty beers and build projects, ”says Nick.

Various end results can be liked on their Flickr photo page, with the Efteling table as their final display. They worked on it together, one in a few hours a week, for a year. “You know you are working on something unique, but you are still criticizing your own work to some extent. If you then read the comments then it is great. We are very happy with the result.”

“A work of art full of funny techniques”
And rightly so, because compliments don’t just come from deep within the internet. “Awesome, really cool,” is the clear caption by Lola Nouwens, Boxtelse who last year along with Jan Pennings made the first release of The Lego Masters TV Show won.

“I just envisioned myself in Efteling. The House of the Five Senses, this road to Symbolica, you can just walk. I especially think it’s clever how you can clearly build with so little stones. The pirate ship is made up of about 20 buildings and yet is creative.” Very try it at home. It’s full of fun techniques and it’s a work of art, which they can really be proud of. I just put it into a Lego Masters app. Like: “You gotta look at this!”

Honoring
Kaatsheuvel’s theme park is also enthusiastic. “We are of course very proud that this couple has turned their coffee table into our world full of wonders. In this special time, when we miss welcoming guests, it is great to have thought about Efteling. Of course we have our pictures. We shared this mini version with our colleagues. Plus. On that, on Wednesday, manufacturers were invited to talk about their building on Efteling Kids Radio.
