Last month, the Orange Lions qualified for the 2024 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand under new national coach Andries Jonger. In training for that tournament, the Lions play Norway on Tuesday. The game starts at 8pm and can be seen on ESPN 1.

After a 1-0 win at FC Utrecht against Iceland’s women, Jonker reached the Women’s World Cup. The lone goal came from Esme Brooks in the third minute of the game. It turned out to be an almost flawless match for the women: they did not lose and only drew twice.

Norway also qualified as group winners for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand last month. The world number 13 are unbeaten in their qualifiers, drawing just once against Poland. In the last friendly – last Friday – Brazil lost 1-4
