look. Three floors, a conservatory and a gravity platform: Airbus unveils a futuristic new space station | Sciences

Will astronauts fly to Mars in about ten years using the Airbus space station? If it depends on the European space giant, yes. So the company unveils a space station concept that is fully compatible with the latest rockets.

The station is called “Loop” and has three adjustable floors connected by a tube with a conservatory around it. Beating is the “centrifugal surface” where artificial gravity is generated. The muscles and bones of the human body deteriorate when not used, and artificial gravity is supposed to prevent this. In addition, weightlessness also overwhelms our nervous system and sense of direction, and often makes astronauts nauseous during the first days of their stay in space.

Even more remarkable is the cylindrical shape of the new station with a diameter of 8, which allows it to be launched entirely with the latest missiles. This way you no longer have to be at a loss for space. There is room for four people in the station, but it can be expanded to eight.

Airbus says it can get it ready in the early 2030s, which is when the International Space Station has reached the end of its life cycle. They can serve both for short orbits around the Earth or the Moon, and for long flights to Mars.
