Juli Btte van Brouwershaven of Hoogeveen won a silver and a bronze medal at the International Frame Running competitions last weekend at Frederiksberg in Denmark.
A running tire is a disabled sport form in which different competition distances are run on an athletics track with a light balance bike. Supporting the frame makes sports for people with physical disabilities possible.

Van Breuershaven finished second in the 800m and third in the 200 and 400m. In the sweltering heat of Denmark – on the track it was over 30 degrees Celsius – she did her best in the 800m in just 35 seconds and ran with a time of 3.17.90.
Juliette trained for a long time at HAC ’63. Now AAC ’61 is her home club. Here she trains twice a week. She also does strength training at Elbe Sport once a week.
Running is a fast-growing sport that will also become a Paralympic discipline in 2024. The other participants in Fredericksburg this week came from various European countries and from the United States.
