Morocco voted against Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories

Morocco is in favor of ending Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories. The Kingdom has proved this by voting for a resolution on the legal consequences of said occupation.

Despite its cordial relations with Israel, Morocco supports the involvement of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to adjudicate the legal consequences of Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories. Hesperus.

The vote was held last Friday in the 193-member United Nations General Assembly. A total of 87 countries voted in favor of the resolution, including Morocco and other Arab countries. Only 26 countries, led by Israel, the United States and Great Britain, voted against the resolution.

Also, 53 countries including Finland, France, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland did not participate in the referendum. The United Nations International Commission of Independent Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territories welcomes the vote on the resolution.
