The design and refinement of the Range Rover Sport are also reflected in the all-new interior. The distinctive driving mode of the Range Rover is cockpit style, combined with contemporary comfort and assistance technologies.
The new Stormer Handling Pack claims the ultimate blend of chassis technologies for more dynamic and faster handling. This includes Dynamic Response Pro, all-wheel steering, electronic active differential with torque vectoring by braking and selectable software. Dynamic Response Pro is a 48V electronically controlled stabilization system that can exert up to 1,400Nm of torque to the front and rear axles. All-wheel steering provides dynamics, maneuverability at low speeds and stability at high speeds.
Aerodynamic suspension, standard on the Range Rover Sport, features a volume-adjustable air suspension for the first time. The system improves undercarriage operation by adjusting the pressure inside the air chambers. For optimal response, the system assesses the road surface in front of the vehicle using eHorizon navigation data to proactively set up the air suspension when cornering.
Range Rover Sport has launched for the first time the adaptive off-road cruise control system, which helps the driver navigate difficult terrain. The system ensures an even application on the surface. There are four comfort settings, on the basis of which the system adjusts the speed in its own way. The driver should focus primarily on steering.
The Cabin Air Purification Pro system ensures that the air quality inside is always optimal, which contributes to the driver’s well-being and alertness. In addition, several Meridian sound systems are available. Of these, the Meridian Signature Sound is the most advanced and powerful audio system to date for the Range Rover Sport. Up to 29 speakers, including four in the headrests, create dedicated sound areas for four passengers. A new generation of active noise cancellation plays a role here.
The Pivi Pro infotainment system is controlled via a 13.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen with haptic feedback. The display is centrally integrated into the modern dashboard. When you turn on the Navigation, Media and Vehicle settings, the system learns from the driver’s habits and preferences. The system intelligently adapts the user experience to this, as an intuitive personal assistant. Land Rover’s electric vehicle architecture (EVA 2.0) provides the basis for connectivity, including software over the air (SOTA). This technology enables remote updates of 63 electronic modules.
Amazon Alexa provides some convenience by allowing various settings and functions to be controlled with natural voice commands. Alexa is integrated into Pivi Pro and works with Alexa devices at home, via the Land Rover smartphone app and Remote Skills. Once available in the Netherlands for the new Range Rover Sport, it can be activated via a SOTA update.
Range Rover Sport is manufactured exclusively at the Solihull Manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom. This is the historic home of Range Rover production and also the site where the new Range Rover is produced.
