Flevoland – Saturday 25th June It’s that time again! Under the auspices of NTFU (Nederlandse Toer Fiets Unie), TC Flevoland organizes Omloop Flevoland in collaboration with FRTC Almere.
Omloop Flevoland is not only the oldest cycling event in the province of Flevoland, but also one of the best organized cycling events in the Netherlands.
According to the organizer, Wil Dennissen, Flevoland is a unique cycling province: “Thanks to a combination of more typical polar roads and several ‘new’ nature bike paths, cycling at the bottom of the former Zuiderzee is more varied than people often think. All the routes make it clear. Absolutely calm and space. There’s plenty of room for everyone, from recreational cyclists to sporty cyclists.”
Omloop Flevoland participants can choose from two different starting points and distances. From the starting point in Lelystad, the Schouw sports park in Lelystad, you can travel 25, 65, 95, 125, 150 or 175 kilometres. The 150-kilometer is new and will take participants through the Noordoostpolder for the first time.
After last year’s success, Strade Bianche is once again on the show. Strade Bianche participants can choose from two routes on mostly unpaved trails: 55 kilometers or 75 kilometers.
In short, anyone who wants to ‘keep up with it’ is most welcome.
