Why do people from all over the world, from the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United States and Australia, spend hours searching the historical Circle Tyman’s image bank?

How did the people of Timon respond to the Catholic faith in previous centuries? What became of diseased cows and untested meat by 1910? Why was the Cafe on the Stage so unique in 1951 in the Netherlands? What was the connection between Radio Veronica and Demon and how did Battery King Curt put Timon on the map so firmly in the 1960s? How was Chan able to pick up a unique piece of art on the night of Amsterdam? There is a new gem of the historical circle. 34 pages of amazing stories of the day and dozens of ‘new’ old photos.

Image Bank

HKD’s Image Bank is very popular both domestically and abroad. Thousands of viewers enjoy hundreds of images every year. The pictures have been placed by the working group of the Society for Identifying and Naming Photos, headed by Han Chan. Visitors to the Image Bank will continue to respond enthusiastically with valuable additional information.

Kurt With

The magazine begins with the story of Kurt Wy, a high-profile entrepreneur who supplied batteries throughout the Netherlands in the 1960s. Precisely in Timon, he built a large complex. For the opening ceremony, he took his ‘friend’ Prince Bernhard by helicopter.

Golden Coach

One summer night, Gouden Koets spent three minutes by Koninklijke Saan on the roof of the Amsterdam Museum and was laid out in the backyard after a delicate preparation. The audience magically enjoyed the moment when a cart floated in the air.

Catholic Timon

Job Hawk talks about the religious experience of Catholics living in Tyman in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. He talks about converting the secret church in Overtime into the home of De Hope Church. It is still a secret church, but in the middle of the village community.

Sick cows

The story of Alfred Baker, who killed sick and dead cows and the story of the unauthorized meat trade in Dimen is very interesting. At the beginning of the last century, Mayor Picker had to take into account the interests of the Timon farmers in the municipality. He parked the boat with the Amsterdam Alderman of the Health Service. Picker refused to participate in the meat inspection program. A wonderful and wonderful story!

Max Levine

Frank Roose immersed himself in the role of Max Levine in the creation of Radio Veronica. Levine, who lived in Demon at the time, was full of contradictions. He was in constant conflict with his environment. Levine later joined the GDR intelligence service. He was involved in the bombing during the construction of the Amsterdam Metro. A remarkable man portrayed in detail.

Timon 1951

Bert Roast’s paragraph is famous. Refreshes the memory of many in Dimon based on old newspapers. Now for the fifties: Advertisements from stores of the past, three-day festivities at the ‘demolition site at Hartweltzweck’. Performances of the Timer Harmony in Wonderlpark, Oysterpark and Tymann.

Much more

But there’s more: watching television on Cafe’s on stage, the appointment of Johan Cruyff’s father, an honorary member of Fritz Rரேrgos HCD, the special stamps and postcards of de Gelaros, the national Holocaust monument of names and a beautiful photograph by Nellock Vaughl Vaughn Vaughn.

Not only texts and dozens of charts, but also Daniel de Graf’s beautiful layout transforms the historical circle into Tyman’s new magazine, a gem that offers many hours of reading and viewing pleasure.

This magazine is for sale at Boekhandel Bruna in Diemerplein Shopping Center.
