Racing driver Eric Van Loon just missed out on winning the second leg of the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia on Monday. The Dutchman overtook defending champion Nasser Al-Attiyah in the last minute.

Van Loon was leading at the final measurement point after 386 kilometres, but was passed in the final kilometers by Al-Attiyah. In the end, the Qatari was fourteen seconds faster than Brabander.
