Samsung has a successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the works. However, according to the rumor mill, it is a smartphone without a stylus. Galaxy Z Fold 5 will not have space on the device to store the S Pen.

This does not mean that there is no stylus support: this is still possible, but you cannot store it in the device, so you always have to keep the stylus separately. When folded, the device will be slightly thinner at 13.4mm than 14.2mm as the Fold 4.

In addition, Samsung also wants to choose a lighter device, and here too this stylus with separate storage is more of a burden than a convenience. It seems that the device now knows 254 grams. However, it is not much different from its predecessor, which weighs 263 grams, and is often seen as a rather heavy and unwieldy device.

A thinner casing would probably make the Galaxy Z Fold 5 sleeker, though it’s also sexy: it’s a foldable device that needs its durability. At the same time, it’s great to see that the company is looking at design tweaks. This makes the device a little more unique than what we saw with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, for example. This device looks like two drops of water on its predecessor.

There will be more modifications to the Samsung foldable phone. For example, the hinge will become drop-shaped, which should have a positive effect on the “clapping” of the phone. This allows the seal to close completely, without a gap between the different parts.
