Brewer is convincing for the third round of Houston

07:32 AM: Dutch tennis player Gijs Brouwer easily won his second match on the ATP Tour. He defeated American JJ Wolf in Houston by two sets and gave his opponent two matches: 6-1, 6-1. In his first-ever match on the ATP Tour, the 26-year-old, Texas-born Brewer beat the highly regarded Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.

Brouwer comes from qualifications. He is number 361 in the world and therefore the lowest ranked player and is still in Houston. He will meet American Riley Opelka, ranked 18th in the world, in the third round.

Brouwer is normally active mainly in the Competitor and Futures tournaments, the lowest category of international tennis. In the summer of 2020, he became the champion of the Netherlands.
