Sri Lanka issues digital nomadic visas for up to 270 days and violates a $ 500 fine

The Department of Immigration and Emigration says a $ 60- $ 200 fee will extend Sri Lankan tourist visas for 270 days, but tourists who stay longer will be fined $ 500.

The 30 day visa is available for $ 35 for most countries, $ 20 for SAARC and online.

Tourists can apply for a visa for 30 to 90 days and an extension of 180 days and 270 days.

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Hungary, England, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia and Estonia , Iceland and Cuba cost $ 100 for 90 days.

This extension is free to the United States, Maldives, Singapore, Seychelles and the Czech Republic.

Visa fees may be subject to reciprocal fees.
