The Thai cabinet this week decided to co-sponsor plans with Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. FIFA will jointly present a plan to the FIFA World Cup to play in the final in Southeast Asia. The tournament is to be held in all 10 ASEAN countries, so in addition to the aforementioned organizing countries Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines.
This is the second time the final round of the FIFA World Cup has been held in Asia. The tournament was hosted by Korea and Japan in 2002, when Korea advanced to the quarterfinals under Dutch coach Gus Hidding.
In general, the organizing country automatically qualifies for the largest football event in the world, and it is not yet known whether that is the case for the 10 organizing countries. No competitions have been held by many countries before. Of the 10 countries that organize, only Indonesia has so far been able to get along Location For the World Championship. That was in 1938. Indonesia, then the Dutch East Indies, played only one game, losing 6-0 to Hungary.
In addition to Thailand and 9 ASEAN countries, Australia, New Zealand and three African countries, Egypt, Nigeria and Zimbabwe are also registered with FIFA. They are also interested in organizing the competition.
