The ETC team is focused on Amatis

ETC Group, a French provider of telecommunications networks, equipment and services, has acquired Amadys from Equistone Partners Europe. ETC acquires a majority interest in the Antwerp telecommunications and energy services provider through a joint investment by the Amadis management team. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Equistone Partners Europe acquired the franchise in December 2019 Amatis and others have made investments in fiber optic and other telecommunications infrastructure and energy transition possible. Amatis also acquired companies in the DACH region, Central Europe and the United Kingdom.

Amatis is a supplier of passive equipment for the telecom and energy sectors, with a strong local presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. As a system integrator of end-to-end connectivity solutions for the telecom, electricity, water and gas sectors, Amatis offers its customers in 11 European countries a one-stop shop. More than 400 people are working in this company.

ETC is owned by private equity firm Cinven with significant minority interests from Carlyle Europe Technology Partners and founder Cedric Varadeh. The company employs approximately 1,200 people in more than 40 locations in 14 countries, including the US, France, UK, Germany, Portugal and Poland.
