The KNVB football association will not move amateur football matches on Saturday because the Orange will play in the World Cup that afternoon. The association has informed the clubs that they have the option of postponing the competitions in mutual consultation. The Dutch national team starts the match from the eighth World Cup finals on Saturday at four o’clock in the afternoon.
“The KNVB will not broadcast the matches on this match day, but we can imagine that the associations want to do it themselves so as not to play during the Dutch national team’s World Cup match,” the association said. “If you want to move, keep in mind that there is plenty of room within Class B for moving matches in mutual consultation. Therefore, coordinate with opponents at the right time what you want to do with the match.”
These options are more limited to so-called Class A amateur football (the higher levels). “But of course competitions may be transferred in mutual consultation within the applicable frameworks.” The KNVB advises clubs, for example, to move matches from Category B to another day, so that next Saturday’s program there will be room for the introduction of Category A duels.
