Vattenfall Checks New Reward Structure for Sustainable Choices in Annual Hackathon Anniversary Edition

A unique hackathon will be held on June 9-10, 2022, where an open innovation will take place on the topic of a fossil-free future. The hackathon takes place in a virtual world developed by Odyssey, Vattenfall and their partners KLM Cargo and NS Stations. It is now possible for teams to sign up for this.
Teams can register here until May 25th. This year’s theme is rewarding sustainable behaviour. What challenge will the teams face? This check mark on the website you are checking for your CO2 compensation has absolutely no experience, offers no transparency about what happens to your money and is not associated with other affiliates, institutions and companies. This can and should be done better, to enable consumers to make sustainable choices and benefit from this socially and economically. This check should bring you money and influence!
And is there a collective solution that uses blockchain technology so that it is suitable for many organizations and industries? Herein lies a great opportunity to link the valuable ecosystems of different organizations and influence more sustainable choices.
Innovative collaboration for a world without fossils
Since 2016, Vattenfall, in collaboration with Odyssey, has been crafting challenges around the theme of “a world without fossils”. Well-equipped technicians in multidisciplinary teams build technology solutions in two days, along with stakeholders and experts. This happens in a completely virtual world. Odyssey helps articulate the challenge and ensures that the challenge is innovative and purely open, making teams excited to work together.
