Verstappen again voted Driver of the Year

Max Verstappen has been named Driver of the Year for the second time in a row. In an election conducted by the famous trade magazine Autosport, the Dutch Formula 1 world champion received the most votes. Charles Leclerc, also from Formula 1, finished second. IndyCar champion Will Power was third and Formula E champion Stoffel Vandoorne was fourth.

“A big thank you to the fans who voted me the best international driver for the second year in a row,” Verstappen said in a video message at the Autosport gala in London. “We had a great season, even if it was a difficult start. We were able to turn that around very quickly and I have to thank the team for that,” said the Red Bull captain, who won no less than fifteen trophies this year. Register in Formula 1.

The Frisian driver finished ninth at Monza as a substitute in Williams and scored equal points in the world championship.
