Williams and Gulf have designed four liveries and fans can choose their favourite. It will later be used for the Grands Prix of Singapore, Japan and Qatar.
Last February, the British racing body and the American oil company announced a new partnership. Gulf switched from McLaren to Williams. In terms of marketing technique, the British racing stable managed to make a good move because the colors of the Gulf are iconic.
Point in Bahrain
Williams is currently tenth and last in the Constructors’ Championship. It hasn’t been a flawless season so far after Alexander Alban scored a point in the season opener in Bahrain. The London-born mother pulled out with brake problems in Saudi Arabia and threw away a good chance to score points at the start of the Melbourne race with a crash in Australia. He finished twelfth and fourteenth in Azerbaijan and Miami respectively. Along with Nyck de Vries his teammate and rookie Logan Sargent was the only driver without points.
